Simplify a path

The Simplify command removes redundant points on your path by an amount you specify. Examples of redundant points are more than two points on a straight line or points that lie exactly on top of one another.

  1. Select Modify > Alter Path > Simplify.

  2. Enter a simplification amount and click OK.

Simplifying a path increases the extent to which Fireworks can alter the path to reduce the number of points on that path.
