Optimizing and exporting

Exporting graphics from Adobe® Fireworks® is a two-step process. Before you export, you must optimize the graphics—select options that make the graphics look as good as possible while restricting file size so that the graphics download as fast as possible.

To be guided through the optimization and export process, use the Export Wizard. This wizard suggests settings, and displays the Image Preview to help with optimization. The Image Preview can be used independently of the wizard as well.

To have more control over the process, use workspace tools such as the Optimize panel, the preview buttons in the document window, and the Export dialog box.

In some cases, you can save graphics without exporting them. For more information, see Save documents in other formats.
