Remove red-eye from photos
The Red-eye Removal tool quickly paints only the red areas
of a photograph, replacing reddish colors with grays and blacks.

Original photograph; after using the Red-eye Removal tool
In the Bitmap section of the Tools panel, select
the Red-eye Removal tool
. (If
the tool isn’t visible, hold down the Rubber Stamp tool until a
pop-menu appears.)
In the Property inspector, set these options:
- Tolerance
- Determines the range of hues to replace (0 replaces only
red; 100 replaces all hues that contain red).
- Strength
- Sets the darkness of the grays used to replace reddish colors.
Drag the cross-hair pointer over the red pupils in the photograph.
If
red-eye remains, choose Edit > Undo, and repeat steps
2 and 3 with different Tolerance and Strength settings.
