Apply color to text
By default,
text is black and has no stroke. You can change the color of all
text in a selected text block or of all highlighted text in a text
block. In addition, stroke and Live Filters can be added to all
text in a selected text block but not to text that is highlighted
in a text block.
The Text tool retains the current text color from text block
to text block.
Stroke characteristics and Live Filters that are applied
to a text block are updated as you edit text in the text block,
but those updates are not applied to new text blocks.
The Text tool retains the current text color regardless of
the fill color of other tools. After you use a fill color and return
to the Text tool, the fill color reverts to the most recent Text
tool setting, and the stroke is reset to None.
See Save stroke, fill, and filter text attributes as a style.
Set the color of text in a selected text block Do one of the following: Click the
Fill Color box in the Property inspector and select a color from
the color pop-up window. Or, with either color pop-up window open,
use the eyedropper pointer to sample a color from anywhere on the
screen.
In the Tools panel, click the icon next to the Fill Color
box and select a color from the color pop-up window. Or, with the
Fill Color box pop-up window open, use the eyedropper to sample
a color anywhere on the screen.
Note: When you
apply a stroke to highlighted text in a text block, the entire text block
is automatically selected.
