Set text orientation

You can orient entire text blocks horizontally or vertically. Multiple lines of vertical text flow right to left, reflecting Asian languages.

  1. Click the Text Orientation button  in the Property inspector.

  2. Select an orientation option:

    Horizontal Left to Right
    The default setting.

    Vertical Right to Left
    Orients text vertically, flowing from top to bottom. Multiple lines of text separated by returns are displayed as columns that flow from right to left.
    To reverse text for a special effect, use the Distort tool and drag a side handle.
